16) Format

Format: To prepare a storage medium, most of the time for reading, and writing. When a user format a disk, the operating system erase all bookkeeping information on the disk, and tests the disk to see if all the sectors are reliable, marks the bad sectors (which are the ones that have a sing, or are like scratched) and creates internal address, that it might be helpful if for some day locate information.
